Connecticut FileMaker Developers Group

Welcome to our home on the web. The Connecticut FileMaker Developers' Group (CFDG) is dedicated to sharing information among peers about industry news, development techniques and business best practices. We meet on a monthly basis at Connecticut Central State University (CCSU) in New Britain, Connecticut. The group is open to all and we welcome you to attend. Please bookmark this site as your source for up-to-date information about the CFDG.

This site is set up as a Wiki. This will allow anyone who is given permission the ability to edit this site and make changes as they see fit all from the comfort of their web browser. To get permission to edit this site, you need to be related in some way to the Connecticut Filemaker Pro Developer Group. If this is the case feel free to email Tim and an account will be issued.

Industry Update: We’ll have an open discussion of news that people are hearing around the industry.

We will be having a round table talk about the Data Separation model and the Anchor-Buoy method of organizing the relation graph in your FileMaker solutions. Please bring your sample files and demos to share with the group. This will be a round table

Ken d'Oronzio from Paradise Partners, Inc., will be demonstrating their product, soSIMPLE Calendar for FileMaker Go, Pro, mobile and web devices.

soSIMPLE Calendar is a drag & drop calendar UI that allows you to easily add a very friendly, very customizable interface to your FileMaker-based calendars. You can then use your new calendar within FileMaker Pro, push it out to your FileMaker Go clients, create a mobile-specific calendar for your Android and other Go-impaired friends, and publish it on the web. We've included all the features developers have been requesting in a calendar and then some (resource & timeline views, color coding, automatic event-resizing...) while focusing on calendar speed and ease of use.
